SMART METER: We weren’t notified
Dear Bonner Ferry Citizens,
It came to our knowledge that a new smart meter has been placed on our home without us being notified about it before it was installed. No notice with our monthly bill was given, no knock on our door informing us that it was being installed and no noticed posted anywhere that we are aware of telling us that it had been installed. No opt out plan was given.
When we inquired about this issue, we were told that notice was given “a few years ago.” We were not here a few years ago. This doesn’t seem right!
We have health issues that have recently reoccurred that had previously dissipated and we were wondering why, until we found the new meter that had been installed. We are so saddened that this has happened in Bonners Ferry.
