Valley View Elementary School (VVES) is off to a great start after spring break and we are excited to begin our educational field trips, our annual Outdoor School event, and beginning to get outside and learn. The wonderful staff at VVES is passionate about kinesthetic learning and creating lifelong positive memories in an educational setting.

In regard to creating lifelong memories, VVES celebrating the character trait of honesty last month. This character trait is an important one and helps build trust and integrity with those closest to us. These qualities with others are what shape us and help people remember us for who we are throughout this lifetime. With that said, the following students and staff members were highlighted recently for being honest. They are: Delaney Weymer, Ember Gardin, Chase Jones, Nytlee Miller, Oliver Beteau, Joan Moellmer, Couper Hart, Kohltyn Clark, Kayli Petersen, Bryn Griffiths, Robert Kelsey, Callie Bateman, Levi Krautkremer, Alex Stolley, Audrey Edwards, Alina Rozok, and the overly honest, yet professional staff members are Mrs. Pam Copeland and Mrs. Lauren Bartoe. Please congratulate these honest people when you see them.

VVES is preparing for some special events in the upcoming weeks. On May 8, we have our annual Walk to School Day and we would enjoy seeing you join us. On May 10, is kindergarten registration at VVES from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In addition, we have our annual Book Fair during the week of May 20. Lastly, next Thursday, April 18, is our annual school carnival at VVES from 5-7:30 p.m. We would love to have you join us for games, food, and fun!

Thank you for all your support of our great staff and hardworking students. It is a pleasure to be a part of such a wonderful community that values our students and the educational process as a whole. Also, since a few people have asked me lately, Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6-9 if you would like to give a “thank you” to an educator in the district.
