BONNERS FERRY — The Badgers and visiting Sandpoint Bulldogs hooked up for an early-season doubleheader on March 29, with the visiting Bulldogs recording a 3-1, 14-3 sweep.

In the opener, Bonners Ferry senior Will Parr and Sandpoint’s Tyrone Larson hooked up in a pitchers’ duel. Larson spun a complete game three hitter, striking out seven in seven sharp innings to earn his first win of the season.

Alex Stockton had an RBI double and scored a run to lead the Bulldogs (5-1), who managed only four hits in the opener as both pitchers were dealing. Parr struck out nine in seven innings in defeat.

Seth Bateman and Brady Bateman had doubles for the Badgers.

In the second game, Sandpoint’s Tristan Authier struck out five in four innings of work in the second game, allowing just two hits and a walk to hold the Badgers (3-2) to just one run.
