Bonners Ferry High School: ‘Dukes Claybusters’

Print Article

Had a very small turnout for the first week of the Spokesman Review shoot. Bonners Ferry Gun Club had only three shooters. Sub Jr. Falen, Blake, and Junior shooter Wade Rice. Hope to get more youth shooters next week.

I’m sure the youth club can place well if we have a good turn out for the seven weeks left in the tournament. Remember keep those grades up.

Bonners Ferry Gun Club had 15 shooters in the Spokesman Review Shoot, Mike Pruitt, Charley Runnion, Wally Dinning, and Ken Nystrom all breaking 24X25 for a Total of 96X100, a good score for 34 degrees and a cloudy day. The Sky-Net Tournament, which is 16 yards score plus two yards add on for Handicap. Twelve shooters with Ken Nystrom winning “A” class over Stan Synder by count back and Jake Jacobson winner of the “B” class.

The shooters shot 4 Annie Oakleys for meat prizes, purchased from Super 1 One Foods. What a good job the store and meat department do for the gun club. Thank You.

Please: students — young women and men come out and shoot. Loaner guns available or use your own.

Have a great week,

Coach Lonny Jelinek
