Boys second in IML

BONNERS FERRY — After splitting the season with the Timberlake Tigers and squeaking out an overtime win in the first round of district play, the Bonners Ferry boys basketball team took the Intermountain League second-place trophy after trouncing the Tigers at home Feb. 26.

Half of team scores in tourney

BONNERS FERRY — The Bonners Ferry Badger wrestling team hosted the Bonners Ferry Invitational tournament Feb. 6 and 7. With 14 Badgers competing, half scored points for the Badgers.

Badgers fall three points short

Down nine points at halftime, the Badger men looked to be in trouble at home Feb. 10 against a Kellogg team undefeated in IML play. By stiffening defensive pressure the Badgers were able to claw their way to the lead in the second half, but couldn’t hang on for the win, losing 46-43 as the clock ran out.

Girls drop tourney opener

The Lady Badgers were ahead by five at halftime but couldn’t overcome 31 points of second half scoring by the Priest River Spartans, losing the Intermountain League tournament opener 45-36 on Feb. 9.
