What position are you running for?

Boundary County District 1 Commissioner

What experience, expertise, or background do you feel qualifies you for this position?

24 years USAF, 2 years Vocational Teacher and 13 years as a supervisor in law enforcement helped me hone my skills in: Leadership, Management, Planning, Budgeting, Problem Solving, and decision making. I have supervised/managed: sworn, civilian and military personnel. As a member of the American Legion and VFW: I helped select scholarship recipients and was one of the judges for the Junior High Robotics competition. I love talking to our students about educational opportunities in the service. I am a strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment. I assist with the youth trap team. I am Pro Life. I have a MA in Public Administration and in Vocational Education.

What do you hope to accomplish if elected?

I am running for your next County Commissioner because I believe leadership, problem solving, and fiscal responsibility are key attributes necessary for county governance. The county is facing some important issues such as: continued funding for Roads and Bridges, development and continued maintenance of infrastructure, Landfill Enhancements, keeping our public lands open to the public and managing our natural resources locally are just a few of the challenges ahead. I believe that the timber and agricultural industries are an essential part of this county’s history and economy and I would be supportive of those industries. Additionally, I would be supportive of any new industry(s) that would blend into our environment, provide jobs and enhance our economy. If I’m honored by being elected as one of your County Commissioners I will work with the other officials on local economic development, I will listen to what you have to say and be a good steward of our tax dollars.
