2nd Harvest Food Distribution set for June 14

Print Article

Thursday, June 14, will be the date of the next 2nd Harvest food distribution. Food, including perishables, will be delivered to the parking lot of Trinity Lutheran Church located on Cody Street across from the Wells Fargo Bank.

Last month 11,000 pounds of food were distributed to 215 families. This month the food truck is sponsored by local donors with matching funds from CenturyLink and by Thrivent Financial.

It is most helpful for people to bring their own boxes or containers. It is also helpful to have a little cart or wagon to get the food to your car. There is help available for those who need it. Volunteers are always welcome to help prepare and distribute the food.

There are no eligibility qualifications to meet. Distribution of food begins at 11 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m. If possible we do start distributing early.
