BONNERS FERRY — The Bonners Ferry varsity wrestling squad took on Kellogg and Timberlake last week. Although the team lost both matches, a handful of wrestlers performed well individually and had no trouble handling their opponents on the mat.

The bout with Timberlake on Tuesday, Feb. 14, was the Badgers’ last home match of the season, and, for the team’s two seniors, Matt Varelman and TJ Smith, it was the last of their high school wrestling careers.

The Badger wrestlers will travel to Lakeland HS to compete in the district tournament, which starts this weekend on Saturday, Feb. 18.
